The last of the four Gospels, John portrays Jesus as the Son of God through His miracles, which culminated with the resurrection of Lazarus. Jesus shows Himself to be the Source of light and life for all we believe. Both fully God and fully man, Jesus dwelt among us as the flesh of our eternal God to enable us to see God’s glory.
In John, Jesus’ entire earthly ministry was encapsulated in His act of washing His disciples’ feet. This not only shows the importance of meeting the needs around us, but also building bridges of love to channel the gospel through the power of the Holy Spirit.
