The Beautiful Book | New Testament Part 1

Acts

The book of Acts traces the history and growth of the early Church. It is an overview of Christianity that bridges the Gospels and the epistles, presenting the principles of the model church as a community of believers. Acts also covers the acts of God through the Holy Spirit acting in men, leading people to Jesus Christ through the zeal and faith of Jesus’ Apostles.

Acts Part 1

We see three principles for the model church: It is about the people, not the building; it is a universal priesthood, where everyone serves; and there are no denominations in God’s church – instead, His people are a family. Acts also offers a manual for missionaries to proclaim the gospel.

Acts Part 2

God empowers disciples to be His witnesses in Jerusalem, in Judea and Samaria and to the rest of the world. Acts also records Apostle Paul’s missionary journeys; despite opposition and persecution, God’s plan to advance the gospel continues to grow and transform the lives of the disciples.
