The 4 gospels in particular had 4 different audiences. They are not typical biographies, as one third of them focuses on His death, the most important event in history. The New Testament serves as the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies of God’s covenant with His people, and ends with the establishment of a new Kingdom on Earth.
